Q-Med's Board strenghtened

Q-MED'S BOARD STRENGTHENED * Amelia Adamo and Göran Carstedt proposed as new members of the Board "Amelia Adamo and Göran Carstedt give us further experience from communication and marketing as well as from company building and entrepreneurship within important markets such as the Nordic countries, Europe and North America," says Per Olof Wallström, Q-Med's President and Chief Executive Officer. It is proposed that Amelia Adamo and Göran Carstedt be elected as members of Q-Med's Board at the Annual General Meeting on May 10. Amelia Adamo, born in 1947, is the editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine amelia and she has worked for over 30 years in the world of newspapers and magazines, for example with Aftonbladet and Vecko-Revyn. She has also received a number of awards and prizes for her work, including Stora Journalistpriset (the Major Journalist Prize), Financial Woman of the Year and Manager of the Year. In 1995 she started amelia, which was elected as 1998's Magazine of the Year. Göran Carstedt, born in 1946, is a doctor of economics and has over a long period of years worked in leading positions within Volvo and IKEA, amongst other things as President of Volvo Svenska Bil AB and IKEA North America. Today he is working freelance for a number of Swedish and international companies and organizations. He is also a member of a number of Swedish and foreign Boards. It is proposed that Bengt Ågerup, Robert Wikholm, Tomas Billing, Anders Milton and Björn Odlander be re-elected as members of the Board, while Ugo Grondelli has declined re-election. Behind the proposal are owners who together represent a majority of the shares and votes in Q-Med. Next report The interim report for the first quarter will be submitted on April 14, 2000.
