Based on the world's most successful cookery television format, the global hit MasterChef, Qiiwi Games and Banijay Brands are now launching a global soft launch for their new mobile game MasterChef: Cook & Match. After a closed soft launch only in the markets Australia, New Zealand, Cyprus and Sweden, the game will now be available in all countries of the world, where United States is the main market for the game.

About the game: MasterChef: Cook & Match

Since the summer of 2021, the game has been in a so-called closed soft launch for testing and optimization. After several adjustments of the game mechanics, the game has now been adjusted to better offer a mix between cooking simulation and match-3 games. Below is an excerpt of the game's description from the game stores:

Welcome to MasterChef, the world-famous cooking competition! Join the contest and get ready for a real challenge, as the fun match 3 gameplay meets the fascinating cooking simulation. Learn real MasterChef recipes, execute every recipe step perfectly and cook the perfect dish. Will your effort impress the three judges? Will you be the one to leave the contest? Do you have what it takes to be the next MasterChef?

About MasterChef:

Created by Franc Roddam, MasterChef is the worldwide smash hit format that sets out on a nationwide quest to find the best amateur cook in the country. Through tough individual and team challenges, the amateur cooks are judged by some of the country’s top chefs and distinguished food critics. It’s a life-changing journey for many, but only one will be crowned the nation’s MasterChef.

Internationally, the format has been adapted in over 60 local markets and celebrated its 500th series globally in 2021. With more than 90 licensees around the world, the MasterChef brand extends into huge range of commercial activities across consumer products, experiential, publishing, and digital.

Erik Dale Rundberg, CEO at Qiiwi Games comments:

"We are very happy and excited to now be able to start a global soft launch for our new match-3 game MasterChef: Cook & Match. During the closed soft launch, which took longer than we initially thought, we have worked a lot on to improve the player experience and offer a cooking simulation in combination with match-3 levels. We now consider ourselves to have achieved this in a good way linked to the format in MasterChef and really look forward to testing the game in more markets and especially in the US which is a key market for MasterChef.

Together with Banijay Brands, we will work to market the game in MasterChef's various social channels to achieve a high organic influx of players who like MasterChef. Combined with this, traditional performance marketing will also be implemented and scaled up depending on results.”
