Solution provides information on application performance, usage, and user data to optimize customer experiences and fuel efficiency

Espoo, Finland – 14th March, 2023Qt Group (Nasdaq Helsinki: QTCOM) today announces the launch of Qt Insight, an analytics solution designed to provide real customer insights into the usage of applications or devices. Qt Insight provides previously unattainable data on application performance, usage, and user behaviour. As a result of this intelligence, product owners and developers can gain a far greater understanding of their customer base and product usage, enabling them to optimize user experience (UX), identify drivers of engagement and long-term retention, lower maintenance burdens, and reduce costs.

Through its dashboard, reports and user flows, Qt Insight provides its users with analytics to improve their understanding of feature adoption analysis. Based on session activity and metrics such as button clicks and time-on-screen, the platform reveals how users navigate devices, identifies customer pain points, analyses performance, and creates tangible, evidence-based development plans to optimize product development and lower running costs by eliminating redundant, unused features.

“Understanding customer behaviour, needs and pain points is essential to delivering an outstanding customer experience,” says Marko Kaasila, Senior Vice President, Product Management at Qt Group. “We are delighted to see such a high level of interest in Qt Insight from a wide range of industries, including industrial automation, consumer electronics, medical and automotive. With the launch of Qt Insight, we are providing businesses with the information they need to truly understand their users, making it possible to develop evidence based UX strategies that are truly tailored to customers.”

There is a high customer demand for a solution like Qt Insight as a recent study of 250 embedded manufacturers revealed that the main technical barrier to deliver innovative UI/UX is the lack of understanding of how products are used in a daily life.

The customisable Qt Insight platform is part of Qt’s portfolio of integrated software development solutions, including Qt Design Studio, Qt Creator, Qt Quality Assurance & Qt Digital Advertising. It will be available as a SaaS product, the first product of its kind in the Qt’s product suite and will be hosted on Qt’s cloud services or private cloud. The solution also supports desktop applications. With Qt Insight, companies own their application data, and it is anonymised as standard, ensuring compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and thus addressing modern data privacy requirements.

The solution will be showcased for the first time at Embedded World on 14th – 16th March 2023 in Nuremberg, Germany. You can find Qt Group in Hall 4, Booth 258, where Qt will also demonstrate seamless UX and advanced visual effects across devices for the smart home and automotive industry.
