QuiBids Receives a 2011 "Best Place to Work in Oklahoma" Award
QuiBids ranks as the fourth ‘Best Place to Work in Oklahoma’ at the 2011 OKCBiz competition at its annual awards dinner at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel on Thursday, June 16th. The Top 10 Large Companies and the Top 20 Small/Medium Companies were recognized. QuiBids ranks fourth in the Small/Medium Companies category.
"We try to promote a fun, innovative and cool employee culture to match our exciting business model, so we are thrilled to have received this recognition." said Jeff Geurts, QuiBids’ CFO. “This is a major accomplishment for a company that just finished its first full year of operations, and we have our great employees to thank for the honor.”
The Best Places to Work in Oklahoma program, sponsored by Delta Dental of Oklahoma, honors the state’s best employers. Best Companies Group is a third party surveyor that collected data from the businesses that entered the competition, in addition to performing an employee survey to determine which companies had the best practices. According to Best Companies Group, more than 90% of the Top 30 companies offer a performance bonus or incentive program and allow employees paid time off for community service activities and volunteer work.
“We strongly believe in giving back and supporting our community,” said Lesley Wilson, QuiBids’ Human Resources Manager. “Why shouldn’t we offer our employees that paid time off - they earn it! We provide a fun environment, but also work very hard to accomplish the things we do in our industry. Without our employees, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
