Madison, Wis -- (August 15, 2012)  Neutricks®, a evidence-based supplement proven to help senior dogs with better brain function, is being featured at the annual CanCog Conference on Behavior, Cognition, and Aging in Companion Animals. Gary Landsberg, a world-renowned veterinarian, will be featuring the product Neutricks in his presentation, Development of Therapeutics for Use in Companion Animals: Establishment of Efficacy in Lab and Clinic.

The annual CanCog Conference, also known as the Aging Dog Symposium,  meets every year to present new research and information related to canine cognition and aging. The CanCog Conference is hosted by CanCog Technologies, Inc., one of the world’s leading cognitive research organizations specializing in age-dependent cognitive decline and neuropathology research for human and canine cognitive assessment.

At this year’s conference, the International Veterinary Senior Care Society is hosting their first public meeting in a special session that highlights recent advancements in senior dog care.

Advances in primary care and more attentive pet owners have contributed to dogs living longer lives than ever before.  As a result the same brain aging phenomena that occurs in humans is being seen increasingly in canines.

David Merrick, Board Member of IVSCS and General Manager of Quincy Animal Health said, “Our message for the veterinarians is to be proactive with their clients who have senior dogs.  Ask about symptoms of cognitive dysfunction syndrome.  Often owners may be hesitant to mention these behaviors during an appointment. Neutricks represents an opportunity to create veterinary-client dialogue about geriatric symptoms that pet owners may overlook.”

Neutricks, a supplement that is proven to improve cognitive function in older canines, fills a void in the marketplace by providing senior dogs with cognitive relief from symptoms of aging.  In an independent study, Neutricks significantly improved learning, accuracy, and enhanced attention of aged beagles compared to the control group in a blinded study conducted by CanCog Technologies, Inc.
