Seattle,Washington— (October 20, 2011) Health food store retailers interested in helping their customers improve cognitive performance can attend the presentation “New Secrets to Brain Health” tonight at theWashingtonStateConvention Centerin downtownSeattleat 5pm.

Quincy Bioscience President Mark Underwood will be presenting research demonstrating the use of the unique supplement Prevagen® which can improve short-term memory, learning, and word recall. Mr. Underwood will also share how the use of Prevagen combined with other lifestyle tips can support healthy brain aging.

“Losing mental capacity is the biggest fear about aging for baby boomers and seniors,” said Underwood. “Speaking to store owners and managers at the Natural Products Northwest Conference is an excellent opportunity to provide Prevagen training in order to help their customers who have memory loss concerns.”

Prevagen contains the active ingredient apoaequorin, a calcium-binding protein originally discovered in a specific species of jellyfish found in thePuget Sound. Research on the brain benefits of apoaequorin have been going on for more than a decade.

Prevagen was recently featured at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference in Paris, France, where the study, “The Effects of the Calcium Binding Protein Apoaequorin on Memory and Cognitive Functioning in Older Adults” was presented.
