Baltimore, Maryland -- (September 21, 2011) Quincy Bioscience is announcing the start of the “Better Memory Tour” at the Natural Products Expo East Convention, the largest natural healthy products show on the east coast. Prevagen® is a first-in-class brain health supplement proven to help memory.

The Better Memory Tour will travel via the Prevagen Express to health food centers and health expos across the country in order to help educate the public on the importance of taking proactive steps toward better brain health. A free memory survey which assesses everyday working memory will be offered to all attendees. Participants will be given the opportunity to retake the memory assessment online at regular monthly intervals at no cost, giving people the opportunity to track brain performance over time.

The September 21stlaunch of the Better Memory Tour also coincides with World Alzheimer’s Day, a day set aside by Alzheimer associations around the globe to pay tribute to those currently living with, or have lived with, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, as well as to recognize the tireless work of caregivers who strive to make life better for people with dementia.

“The Better Memory Tour is an effort to reach out to communities across the country to let them know the importance of taking charge of your brain,” said Quincy Bioscience President Mark Underwood. “We believe Prevagen, along with lifestyle modifications, can make a significant difference in keeping the brain sharp in aging.”

The Prevagen Express kicks off the tour in Baltimore in September and then heads west to Seattle in October making stops in Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho and throughout Washington state.  In November the Prevagen Express will be in Florida making stops in Orlando, Tampa, St. Petersburg and The Villages.

Future dates are still being scheduled so please call 888-814-0814 to schedule a visit to your favorite local health food store.

Prevagen was recently featured at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference in Paris, France, where the study, “The Effects of the Calcium Binding Protein Apoaequorin on Memory and Cognitive Functioning in Older Adults” was recently presented. The trial found that apoaequorin, the active ingredient in Prevagen, was able to improve learning, short-term memory, and word recall over ninety days in adults over forty years old experiencing memory concerns.
