Madison, Wis -- (September 14, 2012) In honor of World Alzheimer’s Day, Quincy Bioscience would like to celebrate by offering a free memory tracking tool. Quincy Bioscience, based in Madison, WI, is a biotechnology company committed to improving cognitive health in the aging population.

With 78 million baby boomers in the United States, and crippling statistics on the rate of Alzheimer’s in individuals over 65, concerns for brain health are becoming a national topic. Memory concerns from family issues are leading people to be more proactive about their brain health.

The Free Online Memory Test is a self-administered memory rating tool in which participants answer specific questions associated with common memory challenges. The Free Online Memory Test is designed to be taken at regular intervals, which allows participants to see trends in their scores, whether positive or negative.

Quincy Bioscience completed a landmark trial called the Madison Memory Study, in which a total of 218 adults, aged 40 to 91 years, were studied to see if apoaequorin made a difference in certain memory tests. The compound proved effective at improving short-term memory, word recall, and executive function in that study.

The study was published in an article; “Effect of apoaequorin on cognitive function” published in the peer-reviewed Alzheimer’s and Dementia, The Journal of the Alzheimer’s Association.
