Quincy Bioscience is announcing a chance to win a free three-month supply of Prevagen, the winner of the 2011 Vity Award for best brain health supplement.

Anyone who may be interested in trying Prevagen is now invited to take part in a contest to win a free three-month supply. This contest is available on Prevagen’s Facebook fan page through Sunday, November 20, 2011.

“Losing mental capacity is the biggest fear about aging for baby boomers and seniors,” said Quincy Bioscience President Mark Underwood. “We believe in making this product widely available in order to help people who have memory loss concerns.”

Along with the contest, Facebook fans find relevant and helpful discussion to assist them in reaching their goals for better brain health. Facebook fans also have access to exclusive discounts for Prevagen, saving on average more than $150 per year over non-Facebook fans.

Prevagen contains the active ingredient apoaequorin, a calcium-binding protein originally discovered in a specific species of jellyfish found in the Puget Sound. Research on the brain benefits of apoaequorin have been going on for more than a decade.

Prevagen was recently featured at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference in Paris, France, where the study, “The Effects of the Calcium Binding Protein Apoaequorin on Memory and Cognitive Functioning in Older Adults” was presented. In the study, Prevagen improved short-term memory, word recall, and learning over 90 days.
