QVance’s co-founder is elected to Vice President Elect for ISCT
QVance AB, Huddinge, Sweden has today announced that its co-founder Dr Lindsay Davies, has been elected by the European membership of the International Society of Cell and Gene Therapy (ISCT) to the role of Vice President (VP) Elect for Europe.
Dr Davies, who is the current Secretary for Europe and the inaugural Chair for the ISCT’s European Industry Committee, will commence her role after the Annual Meeting for the society to be held in New Orleans in May 2025. Her position as VP Elect will be for two years before she will ascend to VP for a further two years.
Dr Davies commented, “I am proud and honoured to have been given the opportunity by the membership to join ISCT’s leadership in promoting translational medicine in cell and gene therapy (CGT).” She adds, “Having worked in basic research in academia, the startup community, as a CSO at NextCell and now in the founding of QVance, I have seen the scope of CGTs and the impact these drug products can have addressing unmet clinical needs. I look forward to working with ISCT and our global CGT community to support new initiatives and tackle the bottlenecks in bringing these drug products to the market and to the patients that need them so much.”
