New consultant for Warrington R&D tax team
David Nuttall has joined R&D Tax Claims (North) Limited as a R&D tax Consultant to be based at its newly opened Warrington offices. Moving on from his previous position with the Manufacturing Advisory Service, David has a strong background in New Product development (NPD) and innovation management.
Project management runs deep within David's background having spent 13 years at Rolls Royce cars before moving on to LDV for 8 years. Supporting his experience he holds a Masters degree in business management from Coventry University.
Bringing his expertise to the business, David will be the first point of contact for many clients seeking to find a smooth route through the R&D Tax Claim process.
R&D Tax Claims Limited assists SMEs to claim back extra tax relief against funds committed to process and product development. The R&D reclaim process can be applicable to a wide area of activities carried out by businesses on a day to day basis.
The R&D Tax Claim Team works with businesses to help them identify elements that are quantifiable as R&D. Since 2009 the Team has been responsible for securing claims in excess of £18m for SMEs.
Outlining his function within the Team, David explains, "My core rôle is to produce a technical report, the first stage of the claim process, identifying and outlining the R&D processes carried out by the client. This is the area where many clients are unclear of what constitutes R&D for claim purposes. In line with this stage I collate costs in preparation for the submission of the claim.
"Interestingly, in addition to businesses claiming for the first time, we are also making life easier for companies already familiar with the process; taking only a short amount of the client’s time we are able to take the relevant information and allow them to get on with their business. R&D Tax Claims Ltd has a 100% success rate to date so the good news for clients is that we do the leg work and they get positive results."
