Sarah clears the route for R&D Tax Claim success
Sarah Boyes is the latest addition to the Team at Wolverhampton based R&D Tax Claims Ltd. Bringing a wealth of manufacturing engineering expertise to the business, Sarah is the first point of contact for many clients seeking to find a smooth route through the R&D Tax Claim process.
An engineering graduate, Sarah has spent the past 12 years as a manufacturing engineer and is now using her skills to help manufacturers benefit from the Government-backed R&D Tax Claims initiative.
R&D Tax Claims Limited assists SMEs to claim back extra tax relief against funds committed to process and product development. The R&D reclaim process can be applicable to a wide area of activities carried out by businesses on a day to day basis.
The R&D Tax Claim Team works with businesses to help them identify elements that are quantifiable as R&D. Since 2009 the Team has been responsible for securing claims in excess of £15m for SMEs.
Outlining her function within the Team, Sarah explains, "My core rôle is to produce a technical report, the first stage of the claim process, identifying and outlining the R&D processes carried out by the client. This is the area where many clients are unclear of what constitutes R&D for claim purposes. In line with this stage I collate costs in preparation for the submission of the claim.
"Interestingly, in addition to businesses claiming for the first time, we are also making life easier for companies already familiar with the process; taking only a short amount of the clients time we are able to take the relevant information and allow them to get on with their business. R&D Tax Claims Ltd has a 100% success rate to date so the good news for clients is that we do the leg work and they get positive results."
