Rabbalshede Kraft granted environmental permit for Årjäng Sydväst wind farm in Municipality of Årjäng

The Årjäng Sydväst wind farm in the Municipality of Årjäng has granted an environmental permit. The farm encompasses 13 turbines and its annual production is estimated at 116,000 MWh, corresponding to the electricity consumption of 19,000 households.

The application documents were submitted to the County Administrative Board in the County of Värmland in December 2010. The Municipality of Årjäng subsequently approved the wind farm, which is a prerequisite for securing approval from the Country Administrative Board under the Swedish Environmental Code. The County Administrative Board in the County of Värmland granted the environmental permit in April 2012, the permit has now gained legal force.
