Rabbalshede Kraft granted environmental permit for the Skaveröd/Gurseröd wind farm in the Municipality of Tanum

The County Administrative Board in Västra Götaland County granted an environmental permit for the Skaveröd/Gurseröd wind farm in the Municipality of Tanum. The farm comprises 11 turbines and production is estimated at 72,000 MWh, corresponding to the electricity consumption of 12,000 households. The electricity-grid connection procurement process has commenced. A decision on the construction start date will be taken when the grid procurement process has been completed.

The wind farm is located east of Tanumshede in Tanum Municipality and has been designated as a suitable wind-power area under the Municipality’s wind-harnessing plan. Application documentation was submitted to the County Administrative Board in Västra Götaland County in August 2009. Tanum Municipality subsequently granted approval for the wind farm, which was a condition for receiving permission from the County Administrative Board under the Swedish Environmental Code. The environmental permit has come into legal effect.
