In recent days, Rabbalshede Kraft and EGL Sverige have entered into an agreement covering portfolio management and trading of wind power production.

EGL Sverige will provide advisory services relating to the markets for electricity and electricity certificates and serve as support for Rabbalshede’s risk-management activities and in hedging of the Group’s revenues. EGL Sverige offers hedging products that will enable Rabbalshede Kraft to strike a better balance between risks and opportunities.

The agreement also includes a provision stipulating the sale of all wind power production to EGL Sverige.

“For Rabbalshede Kraft, having access to analytical expertise and comprehensive knowledge of the markets for electricity and electricity certificates is vital. The company is on the verge of a major expansion and this cooperation with EGL lays the foundation for long-term profitable growth,” says Thomas Linnard, President of Rabbalshede Kraft.

“We have focused on risk management for electricity trading companies and other industries since the mid-1990s. We are now offering this knowledge to the wind power industry, where substantial investments have to generate a return,” says Thomas Nilsson, Key Account Manager at EGL Sverige. “Risk management becomes particularly important in the current market climate.”
