Radio Innovation Selected to Join Facebook Accelerator: Connectivity
Sweden, November 20, 2020 - Swedish tech company Radio Innovation today announced it has been chosen to join Facebook Accelerator: Connectivity. The startup accelerator program will strengthen emerging startups focused on improving connectivity through technologies, solutions, and new models that address the availability and affordability of internet access.
As one of 20 companies selected to participate, Radio Innovation will receive mentorship from Facebook to help accelerate its RI antenna technology. Radio Innovation will also have the opportunity to leverage the vast network of Facebook’s partners to build relationships with mobile operators and other stakeholders around the world.
“Joining Facebook Accelerator: Connectivity creates a massive opportunity for us to speed up our expansion and development – while getting our foot in the door with potential investors,” said Dusyant Patel, Radio Innovation CEO.
More than 3 billion people still lack affordable access to the internet, which is key in the development of regions across the globe. Radio Innovation’s antenna solution reduces the cost for data-communication by up to 70% compared to conventional solutions. By offering solutions that dramatically improve mobile coverage, connectivity and capacity in areas that today are “white-spots,” Radio Innovation aims to close the digital divide - making the barriers of entry a thing of the past.
Radio innovation has since its inception, successfully created and delivered low, medium and high-speed antennas. Today the HQ in Stockholm consists of 10 individuals and is growing.
