Rezidor SAS continues expansion in France

Agreement signed for Radisson SAS Hotel, Biarritz

Brussels, 14 January 2005 … Rezidor SAS, the Brussels based multi-brand hospitality company, has announced that it has signed a Franchise Agreement for a property in Biarritz, France, to be converted and branded as a Radisson SAS with immediate effect.

“Our expansion plans in France are entirely in line with the ambitious targets we have set for the chain. The Radisson SAS Hotel, Biarritz is a true asset to our growing portfolio of hotels in France,” says Kurt Ritter, President & CEO Rezidor SAS Hospitality.

The hotel features 150 guestrooms including nine junior suites, many with an ocean view. The Parisian interior architect Alain Marcot has created a unique atmosphere with juxtaposition of clean lines, varied materials and contemporary design.

Food and beverage facilities include a lounge bar and a gourmet restaurant. The restaurant “l’Hélianthe” offers a modern interpretation of classical Basque dishes, while the “Transat Café” provides authentic Spanish cuisine.

For conferences, meetings and events the hotel offers 420 sq m of space including seven conference and meeting rooms. Ample parking is provided by the multi-level underground car park.

Leisure facilities include a Wellness centre with Hammam, Jacuzzi, Spa Jet, treatment rooms and a fitness area. The panoramic roof terrace with heated pool offers views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrénées.

The Radisson SAS Hotel, Biarritz is situated a 5 minute walk from the city centre and the beach.
