Ragnar Trail Relays, presented by Salomon, announced today their first overnight team relay running race in the state of Texas with the new Ragnar Trail Hill Country – TX, held on October 17-18, 2014.
The two-day, overnight team relay experience will begin midday on Friday, October 17 at Flat Rock Ranch in Comfort, Texas, about 45 miles northwest of San Antonio. Teams will run in an area known as Texas Hill Country. The ranch features more than 1,300 acres of rugged terrain and 27 miles of single-track trails.
Teams of eight and ultra teams of four will rotate runners along three different trails of varying length and difficulty. While one member of the team runs, the other seven members will be setting up camp at the Ragnar Village™. Here, they’ll enjoy food, live music, campfires and camaraderie while cheering on their teammates.
Ragnar Trail Hill Country will be the ninth Ragnar Trail event launched since the inception of the new trail race series in 2013. Registration is open today and available at www.ragnartrail.com.
