MATTI RIHKO APPOINTED RAISIO'S NEW CEO
Board members elected as proposed

The Supervisory Board of Raisio plc decided according to the proposal of the
nominating committee that Mr Anssi Aapola, M.Sc (Agr. & Forestry), Mr Erkki
Haavisto, M.Sc. (Agr. & Forestry), Mrs Satu Lähteenmäki, professor, Mr Simo
Palokangas, Mining Counsellor and Mr Michael Ramm-Schmidt B.Sc. (Econ. & Business
Administration) will form Raisio's new Board of Directors. The term of the new
Board members will start immediately and last until the end of 2007.

The Board has appointed Mr Palokangas to be the Chairman of the Board and Mr Ramm-
Schmidt to be his deputy. The Board appointed Mr Matti Rihko, M.Sc. (Econ.) and
M.A. (Psychology) Raisio's CEO. Mr Rihko started at Raisio in summer 2006 as
president of the Ingredients Division. He will continue the strategic management
of this division, but its operational management will be transferred to the vice
president of Raisio Benecol Ltd. Mr Heikki Ruska.

The chairman of the Board Simo Palokangas: "Raisio's newly elected board and the
new CEO will immediately start to evaluate the current businesses and the balance
sheet items related to them. The aim is to clearly improve the profitability and
to ensure the growth potential."
