PRODUCTION IN THE RAISIO PLANT AREA CONTINUES

Yesterday afternoon, on 23 March, a fire of rape meal started in Raisio's oil
milling plant. The fire and the related danger are over. Evacuation order, which
concerned part of Raisio's production plants, was cancelled at 5 p.m. Finnish
time and the situation in the Raisio plant area normalized during the night.

The production in the oil milling plant is interrupted for the time being because
of the repair work. It is estimated that the production starts again after a
week. The current estimation of the financial damages is around EUR 500,000.
Raisio plc has a comprehensive insurance coverage for both property and
interruption damage.
