RAISIO GROUP CUTS BACK ITS INTERNAL SERVICES AND GROUP ADMINISTRATION

The codetermination talks related to more efficient group administration and
services have been concluded. Specification of the needed service levels and
streamlining of the administrative functions became topical since Raisio Group
divested its largest business division Raisio Chemicals in June.

From group administration and service functions in the subsidiaries 23 jobs will
be reduced in Finland and 16 jobs abroad. Some of the reductions can be carried
out through in-house transfers, but the majority through notices. Raisio Group
has started arrangements to support relocation of personnel losing their jobs
according to the negotiated principles.

In the interim report for January-June a rationalisation provision of 3 million
euros was made. This provision will cover the one-time costs of the personnel
reductions. On an annual basis cost savings are estimated to approximately 2
million euros.
