RAISIO GROUP FOOD WORKERS CONTINUE THEIR STRIKE IN RAISIO

More than 400 food workers in Raisio Group continue the illegal
strike they started on Monday 10 March 2003, at least until
tomorrow.

Raisio Group food workers have demanded local negotiations, which
Raisio Group can not enter into as the collective negotiations are
still ongoing. Thus, the employer can not at this stage start
local negotiations on basis of the suggestion by the employees.
The suggestion lists 15 issues, which would have a 5-15 per cent
cost effect on top of the collective agreement, which is under
negotiation.
