RAISIO'S BENECOL PRODUCTS INTO THE MARKET IN TURKEY

Raisio starts cooperation with a Turkish food group Ülker. Ülker launches
cholesterol-lowering yoghurt, drinkable yoghurt, milk and margarine under Kalbim
Benecol brand in Turkey.

Ülker is the biggest food group in Turkey and it is formed by 60 companies. The
group has production in 37 plants in 8 countries and its turnover is about 6
billion USD. Ülker has many well-known food brands in Turkey and it is a market
leader in four product categories, in bisquits, chocolate, margarine, flour.

The market of functional foods is expected to grow rapidly in the near future
also in Turkey. At the moment Raisio's Benecol products are sold in 23 countries
by nearly 20 partners. In the markets there are 10 different types of Benecol
products, e.g. margarines, drinkable yoghurts, yoghurts, fresh cheeses,
buttermilk and milk. Benecol ingredient, stanol ester, is produced in Finland in
Raisio and in the USA in Charleston, South Carolina. Raisio's Benecol business
has grown rapidly during the last few years.
