RAISIO'S CEO TO RESIGN
Rabbe Klemets has decided to resign his position as the CEO of Raisio plc. His
resignation will be effective as of 29 November 2006. The company has taken
measures to find a new CEO. Mr. Simo Palokangas, the proposed new Chairman of
Raisio's future Board of Directors, will be in charge of this recruitment
process.
"During the five years that Mr. Klemets has served as the CEO, the Group's
balance sheet has strengthened thanks to an exceptionally successful divestment
of Raisio's chemicals business and the Benecol business has moved into a good
performance track," Arimo Uusitalo and Simo Palokangas state.
"This is an excellent time for me to leave, now that Raisio is well above water
again and new winds are blowing in the group," comments Rabbe Klemets.
At Mr. Palokangas's request, Mr. Klemets will consult Raisio and he will be
responsible for completing the already launched strategic business projects.
Projects are expected to continue well into 2007.
Raisio plc's Supervisory Board will meet on 29 November 2006 to make decisions
regarding the election of Board members for the new term beginning on 29 November
2006.
