RAISIO SOLD RISELLA-BRAND

Raisio has sold the Risella rice-brand to Ebro Puleva, which is the
biggest Spanish food company and market leader in the European rice
business. Ebro Puleva is a long-term partner and rice raw material
supplier for Raisio.

The sales price is EUR 4 million, which creates a sales profit of
approximately 2.5 million. The rice production, packaging and storing in
Raisio will cease by the end of this year, but Raisio will continue to act
as the distributor of Risella-products.
