RAISIO TO RECOGNISE AN IMPAIRMENT LOSS OF OVER EUR 8 MILLION IN ITS 2018 FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Raisio plc has updated the calculations of goodwill and brand values as well as the fair values of its balance sheet items. They will result in the recognition of impairment loss of over EUR 8 million (GBP 7.7 million) in the 2018 Financial Statements related to the brand value of Honey Monster. The impairment has no impact on cash flow.

The Honey Monster brand is not in line with the company’s new strategy focused on healthy food and involves no significant revenue expectations. Raisio has licensed the Honey Monster brand in the UK since 2016, and the company sells similar products in Sweden and Denmark.

Raisio will publish its 2018 Financial Statements on 12 February 2019.
