SEPPO PAATELAINEN APPOINTED NEW RAISIO BOARD MEMBER Juha Saura to continue as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board The Supervisory Board of Raisio plc has in its meeting appointed Mr Seppo Paatelainen member of the Raisio Board of Directors as of 1 January 2006. Seppo Paatelainen is the Managing Director of Atria Group plc and its predecessor companies since 1988. Mr Jaakko Ihamuotila leaves his position in the Board due to the age determined in the Articles of Association. Neither does the CEO of Raisio, Mr Rabbe Klemets, continue as a board member, due to the changes in the Articles of Association spring 2005, which now allow the Managing Director of Raisio not to be a Board member. All the other Board members were re-elected. Raisio Board members in 2006 are thus Mr Jörgen Grandell, Mr Erkki Haavisto, Mr Seppo Paatelainen, Mr Kaarlo Pettilä, Mr Michael Ramm-Schmidt, Mr Christoffer Taxell and Mr Arimo Uusitalo. Furthermore, the Supervisory Board has appointed Mr Juha Saura to continue as the chairman of the Supervisory Board and Mr Holger Falck a new deputy chairman from 1 January 2006.
