LA SHAPERS CELEBRATE LAUNCH OF 5-DOOR RANGE ROVER EVOQUE

Tonight Range Rover celebrated the launch of the 5-Door Range Rover Evoque at a star studded event in Los Angeles.

Louise Roe, fashion journalist and TV personality attended the occasion.  “I was so excited to hear that the new Evoque was coming to my favourite city.  Range Rover is a British icon in the LA luxury scene, and just like the Range Rover Evoque, I have been inspired by this city,” comments Louise.   “Tonight has been the perfect celebration with a fantastic mix of music, cool crowd and a sneak peek of the brand new Evoque.”

Celebrity guests including British TV presenter, George Lamb and actress Amy Smart, were given a preview of the 5-Door Range Rover Evoque ahead of its global debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on Wednesday 17th November.

Other notable attendees included actor Miles Fisher, rock band OK Go and singer Solange.  The trio and Louise Roe, were announced earlier today as ‘City Shapers’ taking part in Range Rover’s ‘Pulse of the City’ campaign to launch the highly anticipated Evoque.

The initial instalment of the ‘Pulse of the City’ campaign in Los Angeles will start on Wednesday 17th November 2010, as OK Go make art with the Evoque iPhone app.

The band, whose Grammy Award winning treadmill video was watched by over 50 million people on YouTube is using the latest GPS technology to take fans on a unique musical journey through LA.

As the band moves around the city their movements will spell out the words “OK Go” in giant letters which dwarf the famous Hollywood sign. Fans can get involved and create their own journeys by downloading a specially designed Evoque iPhone app http://itunes.apple.com/uk/app/range-rover-pulse-of-the-city/id398471586?mt­=8. 

The week’s events will coincide with the global debut of the 5-Door Range Rover Evoque at the Los Angeles Auto Show on the 17th November.
