Björn Borgman has been appointed as the new CEO of HL Display. Björn, who is Group Commercial Director at HL Display and responsible for the global sales organisation, will assume the role on 27 May, succeeding Nina Jönsson, who has been appointed new CEO of Plantasjen.

Since his start at HL Display in 2015, Björn Borgman has been one of the key people behind the successful transformation of the company. Björn, who holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering, has over 15 years of experience in the consumer goods and retail industry, and 10 years in executive positions at Reckitt Benckiser, most recently as Vice President Sales, Canada. Prior to that he was Head of Country Organisation in Czech and the Slovak Republics and Country Manager, Sweden.

“Björn has impressed the Board of HL Display with excellent results in his current role. He’s a driven and respected leader and his international background gives him all the necessary experience to take the company further on the next leg of its journey. It’s very gratifying that we were able to recruit from our own management and take advantage of the large talent pool here at the Ratos Group. I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank Nina, who has done a fantastic job at HL Display. She oversaw a successful organisational transformation and is leaving a very well-run company behind her,” says Jonas Wiström, Chairman, HL Display, and CEO of Ratos.

"I'm honored by the trust and confidence given by Ratos, and I look forward to continue to build on the foundation we have developed to ensure HL Display's future success. Having the opportunity to work with HL Display’s experienced and talented employees to further refine our offering to become an even better supplier to the world’s largest grocery retailers will be both exciting and challenging,” says Björn Borgman.

HL Display develops and sells retail design solutions primarily to grocery retailers to improve customer experience, profitability and sustainability. HL Display’s products are installed in more than 300,000 stores in 70 countries. HL Display has approximately SEK 1.6 billion in sales and an EBITA margin of 9%, with 1,100 employees.
