Ratos: Change in number of shares and votes

   This information is disclosed in accordance with Chapter 5, section 9, the
                       Financial Instruments Trading Act.
Ratos has, in accordance with information previously made public, conducted a
new issue of a total of 830,000 preference shares. The issue of preference
shares has resulted in changes in the share capital and the number of shares and
votes in Ratos.

Through the issue of preference shares Ratos's share capital is increased by SEK
2,614,500 and amounts thereafter to SEK 1,023,658,322.40.

After the issue the total number of shares in Ratos amounts to 324,970,896, of
which 84,637,060 Class A shares, 239,503,836 Class B shares and 830,000
preference shares. Each Class A share entitles to one vote and each Class B
share and preference share, respectively, entitles to one tenth of a vote. The
total number of votes amounts to 108,670,443.6. The number of outstanding
ordinary shares amounts to 319,006,019 and the number of outstanding preference
shares to 830,000.
