Ratos: EuroMaint wins order from SJ
Ratos's wholly owned subsidiary EuroMaint has been commissioned to
refurbish and modernise the Swedish Railway's (SJ) Intercity trains.
The order amounts to SEK 350m.
Over the past two years, SJ has focused on renewal and modernisation
of its railway fleet. In an additional stage, SJ has now decided to
commission EuroMaint to modernise the engine-pulled passenger trains.
The order is worth approximately SEK 350m and the tender process was
carried out in intense competition with several other Swedish and
international companies."This is a significant order for EuroMaint which now further
strengthens our position in the growing railway market," says
EuroMaint's CEO Pether Wallin.
EuroMaint is one of Sweden's leading maintenance companies and offers
advanced maintenance services to the rail transport sector and
manufacturing industry. Operations are conducted in three
subsidiaries: EuroMaint Rail, EuroMaint Industry and EuroMaint
Tracksupport. Operations are carried out at 18 locations in Sweden,
Latvia and the US.
Sales for 2007 amounted to SEK 2,067m and operating profit (EBITA)
was SEK 69m. Ratos's holding in EuroMaint amounts to 100%.
