Inwido is the Nordic region's leading window and door producer following a number of add-on acquisitions of companies with strong market positions in Denmark, Norway and Finland in 2005. Sales for 2005 totalled SEK 2,197m (1,235) and operating profit (EBITA) reached SEK 282m (135).

The acquisition of SnickarPer and Moddörr will further strengthen Inwido's position in the door market. The acquired companies had combined sales in 2005 of SEK 107m. After these acquisitions, Inwido's annual sales within the door segment will be approximately SEK 600m.

Ratos Senior Investment Manager Leif Johansson comments: "SnickarPer is a company with a long handicraft tradition and is a well known and established brand within entrance doors which will strengthen Inwido's door offering to the building materials trade and house manufacturers. These acquisitions will further strengthen Inwido's position in the Nordic door market."

Ratos's holding in Inwido amounts to 95%. Ratos will provide capital in conjunction with today's acquisitions.
