Ratos: Management change at Arcus

Peter Wesenberg will be leaving his post as president and CEO of Norwegian spirits and wine supplier Arcus, a subsidiary of Ratos.
"Peter Wesenberg has led Arcus-Gruppen since 2002. Together with the Board he has guided the company through two ownership changes, developed a Nordic strategy, significantly increased the company's export revenues and earnings, and strengthened the Group's brands," says Kaare Frydenberg, chairman of Arcus. "Now that this phase of the Group's development has been completed, it is a natural occasion to allow a new leader to take over."

Until a new CEO has been appointed, Chairman of the Board Kaare Frydenberg will serve as executive chairman, while Production Director Jan Oluf Skarpnes will serve as acting president and CEO.

The Board has already begun recruitment of Peter Wesenberg's successor.

Ratos acquired 83% of the spirits and wine supplier Arcus in 2005. The company is owned together with Hoff (the Norwegian potato growers), and Arcus's board and management. The Group has 600 employees and had sales of NOK 1.2 billion in 2005.
