Hans Pettersson has been named President and CEO of Ratos's associated company Superfos A/S. Pettersson has previous experience in the paper and packaging industry, among others, and served most recently as CEO of MacGREGOR, part of the Cargotec Group.

Superfos develops, manufactures and sells injection-moulded plastic packaging for customers primarily in the food and chemical-technical industries. The company has annual sales of EUR 355m in both Europe and the USA. Manufacturing is conducted at eleven locations in Europe and one in the USA. In all, Superfos has approximately 1,600 employees.

Hans Pettersson has broad experience in industrial and production operations. Prior to his current position, he has held several executive positions in the paper and packaging industries, including Assi Domän and MoDo Paper.

Pettersson, who resides in Denmark, is expected to assume his position on 15 September 2006. In connection with his instalment, acting CEO Torben Bjerre-Madsen will return to his position as director on Superfos's board.

Superfos's board believes that with his strong list of merits, Hans Pettersson and the rest of the company's management - EVP, Sales & Marketing Martin Malmros, COO Benny Nielsen, and CFO René Fredriksen - will have good prospects for consolidating Superfos's position as Europe's leading producer of injection-moulded plastic packaging.

Ratos owns 33% of Superfos. The Industri Kapital 1997 Fund owns 66%, and the company's management owns 1%.
