Billerbeck, which was founded back in 1921 in Wuppertal in Germany, manufactures quilts and pillows for the high-price segment. Today, the Billerbeck Group comprises units in Switzerland, Germany and Hungary as well as a sales office in Austria. Hilding Anders became the owner of the Billerbeck Group in 2001 in conjunction with its acquisition of Slumberland Plc.

-     "Hilding Anders' core business is to develop, manufacture, market and sell beds. It is important for us to stick to our core business," says Hilding Anders CEO Anders Pålsson. 

The Billerbeck Group's sales totalled SEK 350m in 2002. The sale is expected to have a positive earnings impact for the Hilding Anders Group. Ratos's holding in Hilding Anders amounts to 27%.
