Ratos made its original investment in DataVis at year-end 1999, with a total of SEK 190m. A SEK 63m convertible debenture loan was also issued which was repaid in spring 2003. The company's development, in common with that of the rest of the IT industry, has been negative. DataVis has streamlined its operations in recent years and the company's development in 2003 has been positive. The book value of the DataVis has already been written down and amounted to SEK 9m in Ratos's six-month report. DataVis currently has some 150 employees at nine offices around Sweden. 2002 sales amounted to SEK 192m.
