Report this content
- Ratos will acquire Anticimex from Nordic Capital Fund IV for SEK 1,648m
- Ratos's investment will amount to between SEK 600m and SEK 750m in equity
- Anticimex, which is the Nordic market leader within pest control, has estimated sales of SEK 1,250m in 2005 (2004: SEK 1,159m)
- Anticimex' profit (EBITA) for 2005 is calculated as SEK 120m (2004: SEK 92m)

Anticimex, established in 1934, has broadened its operations during the past 20 years from pest control to include a wide range of services designed to create sound and healthy indoor environments for both companies and private individuals. This focus on new activities has resulted in annual growth of 10%. The group has also grown geographically and currently operates in the Nordic countries, Germany and the Netherlands. Together with the company's 33 franchisees, there are 1.5 million customers, 100 offices and 1,400 employees. Operations are divided into three operating areas - building environments, pest control and hygiene. Anticimex' CEO, Peter Carrick, will remain in his present position and intends, together with other members of the company's management, to invest in Anticimex together with Ratos.

Ratos CEO Arne Karlsson comments: "We are very optimistic about Anticimex' future growth potential. Growth in recent years comes mainly from the broadened range of services for property and home owners and the food sector. In our opinion, Anticimex is well placed for continued growth towards these and other customer groups with both its existing and an expanded range of services."

Anticimex' CEO Peter Carrick comments:"In recent years we have focused intensely on integrating our operations outside the Nordic region. The group structure is now in place and with further develop our offering to customers in both the Nordic region and the rest of Europe."

The transfer is subject to approval from the relevant authorities. The financing structure for Ratos's investment will be finalised in conjunction with closing.
