PRESIDENT OF RAUTE CORPORATION'S SUBSIDIARY MECANO GROUP OY CHANGES             

The President of Mecano Group Oy, the Kajaani based Raute's fully owned         
subsidiary concentrating on machine vision and measuring technology, Mr. Pasi   
Kenola has resigned on 29 July 2008. Mr. Kenola has held the President's        
position since December 2005.                                                   

As part of the ongoing project within Raute Group with the target clarify the   
Group structure as well as boost operational efficiency, a process of merging   
Mecano Group Oy to Raute Corporation has been started. As of 30 July 2008, Ms.  
Arja Hakala, CFO of Raute Group, has been appointed President of Mecano Group Oy
for the merger period. The merger has no effect on Mecano's product offering,   
customer service or personnel.
