RAUTE GETS PREPARED FOR THE NASTOLA PLANT UNDERLOADING WITH ADDITIONAL 90 DAYS'
TEMPORARY LAY-OFFS
Raute Corporation continues to prepare for the weak remaining market situation.
The negotiations in compliance with the Act on Co-operation concerning the
hourly workers of the Nastola plant have been concluded on 26 May 2009. The
negotiation result follows the temporary lay-offs of at most 90 days concluded
in December 2008 and enables additional adaptation measures of a maximum of 90
days. The additional adaptation measures, which will cover at most 140 hourly
workers, will be implemented when needed gradually according to the workload.
The previously concluded adaptation measures concerning the other personnel are
adequate for the time being.
