GRIMSBY PLAYS HOST TO DAMIEN HIRST, CHRIS REA AND RONNIE WOOD; EXHIBITION WELCOMES ROCK ‘N’ ROLL OF THE ART WORLD

This weekend will be the final chance to see pieces from some of the world’s most famous artists exhibited as a collection. Freshney Place, in Grimsby is the location for the pieces, created by the rock ‘n’ roll glitterati of the art world, which until now have been housed in private collections, and where they will be returned to come Monday.

Saturday welcomes Damien Hirst’s Skull with Diamond Dusted Teeth piece, whilst on Sunday two pieces by rock legend, Ronnie Wood will be available for public viewing for the first time. Entitled ‘Portrait of Keith Richards’ and ‘Ronnie Wood with Slash’, the incredible pieces will sit alongside exclusive pieces by renowned musician, Chris Rea which have never been seen in public before. The Out of the Dark exhibition, with Grimsby’s Abbey Walk Gallery is a UK first; never before has a shopping centre in Great Britain been the setting for such an eclectic and prestigious exhibition, and original artworks by Banksy, Andy Warhol, Dali and Picasso are also included.
