Licensed Companies Now Offering Wide Selection of RCA Electronics and Home Products

LAS VEGAS – Jan. 10, 2012 – Consumers in more than 20 Latin American nations are now enjoying home entertainment and home appliance products, with an expanded RCA-brand licensing program. Latin America represents a significant market opportunity for RCA, with a combined population that exceeds 385 million people. New products from various Latin America licensees are on display this week at the International CES, the global launchpad for the home electronics and electronics business.

Radio Victoria Lines Up Sales in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, and Uruguay

Radio Victoria Fueguina SA signed in 1996 a license agreement to manufacture, import, and sell products under the RCA brand in Argentina.   In 2008, Radio Victoria Fueguina SA decided to grow on a regional scale and signed a new agreement to further develop the brand in seven countries of Latin America. Now with its current sales network, Radio Victoria offers consumers a wide range of products for the whole family, with solutions for TV, Audio & Video, Air Conditioning, Computers, Accessories, Lighting and Home Appliances.

New for 2012 is the region’s first LED-backlit LCD Internet TV, a 55-inch model that includes a digital terrestrial TV tuner and Internet functionality in a slim, svelte design.

Digital Stream Readies Mexico TV Line

In Mexico, licensee Digital Stream plans a range of TV high-definition TV products for introduction in 2012. Digital Stream also manufactures and markets small-screen RCA televisions for the U.S. market.

At CES, Digital Stream is showing both 32-inch and 42-inch LED backlit models designed for Mexico consumers, with 1920x1080 resolution and multiple HDMI inputs.

Latin American Trading Expanding in Belize, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Caribbean Islands, Honduras, Panama, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, El Salvador, and Venezuela

Newly-signed licensee Latin American Trading was signed as a licensee in 2011 and is introducing a wide range of energy efficient LED-backlit LCD televisions from 19-inch to 55-inch in 2012. The new sets feature Motion Engine Pro (an image data processing system) to enhance colors and video clarity. All sets in the new LED line incorporate an automatic dual voltage 110-220 power system with standard NTSC/PAL/ SECAM for a diverse viewing geography. Audio is improved with advanced 3D surround sound technology that has unique spatial adjustments in its stereo mode. A key introduction is the 56-inch RCA LED RC46E4B, which features a high-definition 1080p panel and four HDMI and two USB inputs.

Due to harsh power surges harming the life and functionality of products in this region, RCA televisions in this region include a special power saving chip to increase energy savings to 52%. The built-in control switch disconnects the unit from the electrical grid and increases the life of the equipment.
