Readly, the leading international digital platform, allowing subscribers to read unlimited digital magazine content, for a single monthly subscription, has been granted accreditation by ABC; the industry-owned auditor for the media industry in the UK.  ABC provides an independent verification of circulation/data figures to facilitate the buying and selling of advertising space across a variety of media, including UK national newspapers and magazines.

ABC has accredited the processes which deliver Readly’s summary circulation reporting to its publishers. This means UK magazine publishers can claim users’ deduplicated first issue views within the Readly platform as Single Copy Sales sold at less than 20% of Basic Cover Price. The issue-by-issue circulation reporting may be included in their titles’ ABC headline circulation figures. Readly will be an ABC Associate Member and will be working with ABC to update the accreditation regularly.

Readly currently offers subscribers access to a total number of 161 UK magazine titles, including fashion, gossip, men’s interest, gaming, technology, children’s crafts and regional activities amongst others.
Publishers with titles accessible via the Readly subscription service include Haymarket, IPC, DC Thomson, Future Publishing, Archant Community Media, Chelsea Magazines, Saga Publishing, Aceville, Eye to Eye, Wild Bunch Media, Time Out, The Lady, Rouleur and Greenways.

Per Hellberg, CEO of Readly, said:

”We are thrilled to be granted ABC accreditation for magazine sales via the Readly digital subscription service. The inclusion of digital editions in the ABC’s circulation figures is of crucial importance to publishers, as consumers increasingly access content of all kinds via digital platforms.

”This marks the first time publishers can claim single-copy sales from an all-you-can-read digital platform and is a strong endorsement of our business model and its positive impact on the magazine publishing industry.”

Jan Pitt, Group Executive Director of ABC, commented:

"Reporting Digital Editions and Digital Publications on ABC Certificates is an area of increasing importance for our publishers. However, compiling and supplying easy to use reports from third parties to substantiate their circulation claims is not always straightforward. It’s great to see Readly becoming an Associate Member in this important sector. I am delighted to welcome them. I am sure their ABC accredited status will be of great benefit to publishers using their platform.”
