Breakthrough for ReadSoft's new electronic invoicing concept, ReadSoft DOCUMENTS for EDI.
Breakthrough for ReadSoft's new electronic invoicing concept, ReadSoft DOCUMENTS for EDI. After an extensive period of development and launch activities, several Swedish companies are now using ReadSoft's new technology for fully electronic document interchange. Familjebostäder, the third largest provider of housing in Sweden, and Fortum Service, part of the power company Fortum, are examples of companies receiving electronic invoices with this technology. Six years after launching software which automatically reads, interprets and verifies invoices, some 900 companies worldwide use the pioneering technology. ReadSoft has now made a quantum leap to offer a truly electronic flow of invoices, from A to Z. The newly developed software EZ-OUT sends documents electronically via email to ReadSoft's invoice-processing software. The whole solution is called ReadSoft DOCUMENTS for EDI (EDI = Electronic Data Interchange). Two of ReadSoft's users have now successfully rolled out the sending EZ-OUT software to their suppliers. The suppliers of Familjebostäder and Fortum Service no longer need to print and send invoices on paper. Instead, they send them electronically with EZ-OUT. Familjebostäder in Stockholm receives some 5000 electronic invoices per year and are now pushing the technology out to more and more of their suppliers. "As many other companies we have found out that it is hard to launch large-scale EDI systems on a wide front, so instead we wanted to find a simple way to get suppliers to send us their invoices electronically. EZ-OUT is a simple and efficient way of implementing a truly electronic invoice flow between companies. For us it is a better solution than regular EDI and the technology meets our needs perfectly, says, Claes Norrman, controller Familjebostäder. "For ReadSoft it's a milestone to offer technology that facilitates truly electronic document exchange. We have spent two years fine-tuning this software and we are now able to offer a very attractive alternative to expensive and lengthy EDI projects. Our long list of customers are given a new tool to further cut costs together with their suppliers", says Jan Andersson President at ReadSoft. About ReadSoft DOCUMENTS for EDI - Read more about sending electronic invoices at www.ez-out.com ReadSoft DOCUMENTS for EDI enables companies to send invoices (and other documents) electronically via email. On the sending side, an easy-to-use software called EZ-OUT sends the document as an email. On the receiving side, the email is opened, captured and interpreted by ReadSoft's software for Document Automation. The benefits are numerous. The sender saves postage, printing and paper costs, while the receiver doesn't have to open envelopes, scan documents or archive tons of paper. But above all, the whole process can now be carried out in a few seconds. ------------------------------------------------ For more information, please contact --------------------------------------- ReadSoft AB Jan Andersson, President/CEO Pho: +46-(0)708 - 37 66 00 Olof Engvall, Vice President, PR & Communication Pho: +46-(0)708 - 37 66 70 E-mail: olof.engvall@readsoft.com About ReadSoft ReadSoft is the world's leading supplier of software for Document Automation.
