Leading power transmission company in Spain chooses ReadSoft solutions to optimize invoice processing

Report this content
Spanish company Red Eléctrica de España (REE), together with ReadSoft's Spanish partner Indra, has chosen the ReadSoft DOCUMENTS for Invoices solution to optimize supplier invoice processing. The ReadSoft platform will automatically process the 30,000 invoices received annually and integrate with their SAP® system. Spanish partner Indra will attend to the management of the project, which amounts to 105,000 euros.

Red Eléctrica is the leading power transmission company in Spain and is responsible for managing the technical aspects of the Spanish electricity system. The company owns most of the Spanish high-voltage transmission grid and is the only company in Spain which specialises in the transmission of electrical energy. Red Eléctrica was the first company in the world devoted exclusively to electricity transmission and operation. Having always been a pioneer, it remains a leader in this field.

Maintaining a leading position requires the implementation of the latest technologies on the market, in order to optimize processes and increase productivity. With this in mind, Red Eléctrica de España, with the help of Indra, started searching for solutions to automate its invoice processing. Manually processing invoices and other related documents was consuming too much time and too many resources.

In the end, Indra recommended ReadSoft DOCUMENTS for Invoices for a variety reasons, including its ability to digitize invoices, its image handling, data recognition, extraction and validation abilities, and its ability to transfer everything to their SAP® system. The ReadSoft solution also offered unique advantages such as the digitization of any other countable document and integration with SAP® documents, as well as very intuitive and easy-to-use software for SAP® integration. Specific benefits of the solution is the ability to get rid of the manual processing of the documents, the time saved, the quick access to information, and more efficient processes.

"For us, it is an honour to have a company such as REE among our customers. REE is not only the leading company in its field, but it's one of the biggest and most important companies in Spain. This agreement reinforces our position in Spain as the leading supplier of invoice automation within SAP."-says Jan Andersson, CEO of ReadSoft.
