ReadSoft initiates collaboration with Anoto regarding technical integration with digital pen ReadSoft has launched a collaboration with C Technologies' subsidiary Anoto, the creator of a global de facto standard for digital paper and digital pen technology. ReadSoft and Anoto intend to collaborate on developing services, featuring Anoto functionality and Readsoft's systems for automatic data capture. Anoto has created a global de facto standard for digital pen and paper and will launch services enabling handwritten text to be transmitted directly from paper to e-mail, fax or SMS. When writing on paper enabling Anoto functionality, the information is captured by a camera in the digital pen. The digital pen contains memory and a transmitter that forwards the information using Bluetooth technology. It is in the following process that ReadSoft's software for automatic data capture is to be used. ReadSoft's Eyes & Hands FORMS will be used as an integrated part of the Anoto solution to interpret, verify and validate the information from the digital pen and then transfer this information into, for example, a database. The joint solution will offer highly flexible and mobile tools for capturing information from inventory notes and other forms where stationary solutions for automatic data capture is not possible. "Anoto has created a handwriting communication system that is a fine compliment to ReadSoft's technology. The digital pen works just as a scanner and that makes the entire automatic data capture process mobile.
