ReadSoft January - June Interim Report (For full report see attached file or visit www.readsoft.com) · The turnover for the first six months increased by 11 percent to 159,2 (143,2) MSEK · Results after tax for the first six months was 4,2 (3,7) MSEK · Results per share after tax for the first six months was 0,14 (0,12) kr · The turnover for the second quarter increased by 19 percent to 87,0 (73,4) MSEK · Results after tax for the second quarter was 7,8 (2,6) MSEK · Results per share after tax for the second quarter was 0,26 (0,09) kr · Cash-flow for the first six months was 3,6 (-5,9) MSEK IMPORTANT EVENTS DURING THE SECOND QUARTER OF 2004 During the second quarter of 2004 the launch and development of ReadSoft's new software platform ReadSoft DOCUMENTS was intense. After the official launch in Q1 ReadSoft DOCUMENTS was reinforced by a number of local events in ReadSofts many subsidiaries. With ReadSoft DOCUMENTS ReadSoft is consolidating its leading position on the global market for Document Automation. The software INVOICES was sold to a number of large corporations in Europe and one of ReadSoft's largest INVOICES contracts so far was signed in France. One of Europe's largest retail groups invested E 550,000 to automatically process over a million supplier invoices per year. The group is planning to upgrade the system to handle 2 million invoices a year. Further on, the progress on the French market is especially strong and customers such as STILL, Thomas Cook and BASF have chosen Document Automation from ReadSoft during the period. ReadSoft's strategy and integration with SAP Business Systems continue to be substantial success factor for INVOICES sales internationally. One of many new customers in the SAP-sphere is Arla Foods in Denmark and the UK who are to integrate INVOICES with their SAP R/3 Business Systems. Arla Foods, the largest dairy product producer in Europe will process some 500,000 invoices annually on these markets. ReadSoft has entered into a partnership with CSC Sweden, part of Computer Sciences Corporation. The partnership concerns the resale and installation of ReadSoft's FORMS software. Vodafone Sweden, their first mutual customer, will use ReadSoft's software to automate registration processes. The Shareholders' General Meeting at ReadSoft elected Anna Söderblom, Investment Manager at Industrifonden, new member of the board. Anna Söderblom is Investment Manager at Industrifonden, Business Area IT and has carried several leading positions in the IT and software business. President Jan Andersson has been appointed new member of the AIIM Board (The Association for Information and Image Management). The AIIM organization was founded in the 1940 ties and is the leading international organization focused on input and output management in North America and Europe. In addition to his appointment to the AIIM Board, in late June Jan Andersson was voted in by the members of the board as At Large Member of the Executive Committee.
