ReadSoft named "IT-Company of the year 2001" The Swedish magazine Veckans Affärer has today honored the Software Company ReadSoft with the prestigious award, "IT-Company of the Year 2001". The award was announced at Veckans Affärers annual presentation of the business analysis, "IT 500" in Stockholm. The jury's motivation states that "ReadSoft serves as a model to the Swedish IT-industry". ReadSoft's ability to establish new business abroad and develop software for which there is a great demand, contributed to the fact that Veckans Affärer chose to award ReadSoft the title "IT-Company of the year 2001." Co-founder and MD Jan Andersson was notably moved by the situation when receiving the award from chief editor Weje Sandén after 10 years with his life-time achievement. "Many years of hard work lies behind the fact that the company and all of our staff are now awarded this title. Our journey has just begun and we will now focus on reaching our goals to prove that we deserve this attention," says Jan Andersson. The Swedish magazine Veckans Affärer awards companies that make a contribution to strengthen the competitive edge of Swedish Information Technology, in both Europe and the rest of the world. The awarded companies serve as models and a source of inspiration to the Swedish IT- sector. Recent winners are Swedish IT-companies: C Technologies, in 2000, and AU- System, in 1999.
