ReadSoft sells automatic invoice handling system to the Finnish service bureau Atkos Atkos, a Finnish service bureau fully owned by the Finland Post Corporation, has decided to increase their use of ReadSoft's products for automatic data capture. After using ReadSoft's Eyes & Hands FORMS for seven years to read, interpret and verify forms, Atkos now expands into automatic handling of supplier invoices. ReadSoft's INVOICES software will be integrated with the Atkos solution and automate the automatic scanning and interpreting of 700,000 supplier invoices annually. For several years, Atkos has used FORMS for processing large volumes of paper forms from various types of companies in Finland. Atkos now expand their use of automatic data capture and offer their customers automatic handling of supplier invoices. ReadSoft's software INVOICES will read, interpret and verify the invoices in a highly automated process which almost abolishes the need for manual labor. " In Sweden for instance, INVOICES is already a much appreciated tool used by companies and service bureaus such as Dokumenthuset and Posten. But still most companies and organizations process invoices manually, in other words they open, read and organize each and every paper invoices one by one after which the information is manually keyed into a database. INVOICES offers our customers substantial benefits in time, quality and costs. With the installation of INVOICES, a whole new market opens up for Atkos in Finland," comments ReadSoft's MD Jan Andersson. The actual paper invoice will not reach Atkos' customers at all. Instead the documents will be received, scanned and interpreted by Atkos. When the information is captured it will be electronically transferred to the client's accounts payable system.
