ReadSoft signs prestigious contract with John Deere John Deere in France has decided to follow ReadSoft into the future of electronic invoice processing. ReadSoft DOCUMENTS for Invoices will substantially accelerate accounts payable processes at John Deere who preferred the ReadSoft solution to traditional EDI. Following the French installation, the worldwide constructor of agricultural equipment plans to expand the ReadSoft solution in Europe and the US. John Deere aims to reduce the expensive manual handling of supplier invoices to a minimum by means of Document Automation. The ReadSoft software is a full-scale solution that includes seamless integration with John Deere's SAP business system. In collaboration with Ebydos, a global partner for SAP integrations, ReadSoft delivers a turn-key system with workflow and authorization capabilities. Before the final decision was made, John Deere compared several solutions on the market. "The ReadSoft solution was the most advanced and fit best with our SAP R/3 configuration and our multi-site constraints. Moreover, during the test phase, ReadSoft gave the best results throughout the whole process, explains Jean-François Lami, Financial Director of John Deere. "The French subsidiary of John Deere will be a pilot site for the John Deere Group. The savings and business benefits at this first site will build a good platform for further roll-out within this group. John Deere is the most recent client on a long list of global companies integrating our solution with their SAP System, says Jan Andersson, President of ReadSoft. John Deere originally investigated the possibility to install an EDI solution together with their many suppliers. But the complexity of such a project lead the company to look for an alternative solution. "EDI remains an ultimate vision. However, we are convinced that we will receive paper invoices, from our small-sized and occasional suppliers. Some companies are still very reluctant to move on to fully electronic processes, comments Jean-François Lami. What is ReadSoft DOCUMENTS for Invoices? The INVOICES software is designed to recognize unstructured invoice documents and capture data such as sender, invoice number and invoice amount from anywhere on the invoice. At the same time, the software checks the data against information in the customer's business system. Approximately 100 million invoices are processed every year by ReadSoft software around the world and it was the first solution to be certified by SAP. Almost 100 customers have already integrated the software with SAP R/3, making it the most widely used invoice processing integration by far.
