Ukraine uses ReadSoft for its census

Ukraine uses ReadSoft for its census 52 million people to be counted for the first time since the fall of the Soviet Union ReadSoft has through its partner SQL Solutions in Kiev, closed a deal to deliver software for automatic data capture to the Statistical Bureau of Ukraine. The software order is worth 400.000 USD and will facilitate the countrys population census. Eyes & Hands FORMS will 2001 begin to register Ukraines estimated population of some 52 million. The software Eyes & Hands FORMS will scan forms at about 30 installations to determine the amount of people living in the Ukraine. After the documents have been captured, every location will produce a CD, which will be sent to the main office's central database at the Statistic Bureau in Kiev for further processing and analysis. - This type of census is made much more efficient with automatic registration. More and more countries are discovering the enormous advantage of not having to register these huge amounts of paper manually.
